Barbara Byrne is the vice chair in charge of investment banking bat the Barclays Capital. She had earlier worked at the managing director of the energy investment department bat the Lehman Brothers. It is at this position where she had been asked to surrender the accounts that she was managing and shift her focus on building a run through in larger cap technology companies. She was at first reluctant to do this and even declined the offer. She was later to accept the offer, a decision she terms as the one which has thrust her to her current position at the institution. She at first took it half-heartedly thinking that it was the biggest challenge that she was to undertake but later found out that it is here that she was to succeed immensely.

 This big challenge that she undertook has seen her succeed to extremely great heights, more than the success that she had achieved at the Lehman Brothers for over 28 years that she worked there. Her success at the current position can be termed as very great for it has been observed for only the 10 years that she has worked there.
